Sokrates Taverna is dedicated to providing a high standard of cuisine from Greece, Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The atmosphere is warm, cosy and informal – reminiscent of summers on the Greek islands - allowing you to relax and enjoy the tastes and flavours of our cuisine.
Our meals are traditional and authentic to the region they originate, and we use the freshest ingredients in their preparation.
Our most popular dish is our special Greek meze. The meze offers a selection of small plates, allowing you to try a variety of different tastes and flavours.
Alternatively, enjoy our a la carte menu offering a wide selection of traditional dishes, including moussaka, dolmathes, kleftiko and stifado. Our grilled kebabs are freshly prepared and cooked on real charcoal for the authentic taste of Greece.
Takeaway
Sokrates offers takeaway food for delivery (Fridays-Saturday) and collection (Tuesday - Saturday and some Sundays). Please contact us to order on 0161 282 0050

- Sunday: We open every last Sunday of the month and on special days including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday – Saturday: 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm
