Light yellow colour with grey hues. Low-intensity aromas of citrus, mineral and baked bread and a keen edge of tart apples. A fine, medium bodied, seductively rich red wine with some complexity and a generous after taste.

Notios Red (Gaia) 15.90
Notios (the Southerner) originates from low-yield Agiorgitiko grapes (St George) of the hills surrounding Nemea. This is an ultra modern wine with a velvet carpet of red berries and cherries and a cut of fresh acidity. Deeply coloured and deeply scented. A young wine with tones that are reminiscent of blackberries and their violet hue. Discernible are the intense aromas that typify the Agiorgitiko, that is sour cherry, but whose exceptional maturing of the grapes has led to a high alcohol content and reminds us of sour cherries in alcohol. Passage through the cask has enriched it with a discreet woody scent. A low tannin content underscores its rich, well structured, velvety body.

D’ Ahera (KEO) 16.50
A cherry colour red full bodied dry wine with mellow taste and rich bouquet from Cyprus. Fresh, grapey fruit, reminiscent of a Beaujolais with a load of cherry and berry fruit, well balanced by crisp but not over the top acidity. Produced from a blend of Grenache and Lefkas grown at KEO’s privately owned vineyards in Ahera region in Nicosia. Ages for four years in oak barrels and in bottles in isothermic cellars.

Agiorgitiko (Boutari) 16.50
Another wonderful example of the St George (Agiorgitiko) grape and it is marvellous next to dishes of red meat and tomato sauces. Enchanting on the nose, juicy soft on the palate, with delicate aromas of oak, wonderfully underlined by a velvety taste of red plum, blackberry and hints of clove and cinnamon.

Porfyros (Spiropoulos) 17.50
This organic wine from the Peloponnese region is a Bordeaux style wine made from a blend of Agiorgitiko (St George) (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Merlot (30%). After fermentation it is barrel aged for fifteen months and bottle aged for twelve months resulting in a dense purple colour. Smoky nose with hints of damp leaves and strawberries. The palate displays a seam of pure, bright cherry fruit with a coating of sweet vanilla and a caramel note. Finely balanced with rich yet soft tannins which all amounts to a long expensive finish.

Cava Cambas (Cambas) 21.50
Cava Cambas Red is a wine with a unique appearance. It all started back in 1981 when the Cambas underground cellars were flooded, revealing an astonishing sight of bottles of Cava red covered with mud! Matured for eighteen months in oak barrels and a further eighteen months in the bottle. Deep ruby colour, soft mature bouquet with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Yiannakohori (Kir Yianni) 22.50
Inspired by the name of the village closest to the estate, Yianakohori is produced from selected grapes and makes an excellent vin de garde. It consists of the indigenous Xinomavro and Merlot grapes that blend harmoniously. It is a youthful wine with a lively intense red colour and a rich, dense and complex bouquet that discreetly highlights white pepper and cedar. On the palate, cinnamon and raspberry are descriptors commonly ascribed to it. Its fine balance and long aftertaste will please the most discerning of wine lovers.

Megas Oinos (Skouras) 26.90
The epitome of finesse. Made from Agiorgitiko (St George) 80% and Cabernet Sauvignon 20%. Ageing in new Alliers barrels for 18 months followed by 6 months bottle ageing. Rich violet colour with deep blue tinges. Intense aroma of fresh wood (cedar) with hints of leather. Swirling releases spices (cinnamon, clove) and, in small doses, raspberry, raisin and quince. The initial sweet assault continues with relatively highlighted acidity offering the wine a somewhat lively taste. The mouth of average body and smoothed-out tannins give a long luscious flavour which is rounded off by hints of dense fruits and black pepper with the cabernet’s bite. This is a class act!

Gaia Estate AO Nemea 29.50
This wine is 100% Agiorgitiko (St George), an indigenous Greek grape that can attain wonderful quality when handled with care. From a meticulous estate that follows strict rules on biological agriculture, this is the flagship wine of Gaia. Aged in French oak casks, the deep, juicy flavours of the grape are enhanced by an almost claret-like cedary fragrance. The nose displays a mellow toastiness, with woody notes and coffee, but the main driving force is wonderfully lush sweet berry fruit. On the palate there's a density of fruit, very rich and mouthfilling. Medium-bodied with good acidity to keep it fresh and food-friendly as well as some fine, silky tannins adding some savoury strength.
